ELC GROUP opens overseas branch office in Ahmedabad (India)

ELC Group Intl. today announced that it will open an office in Ahmedabad, its first in India.
Ahmedabad is home to corporations in life science, chemistry, manufacturing, technology and biotech - industries where ELC GROUP traditionally has had a strong presence. The office will be opened in June 2008.
The branch will meet the corporate needs of not only ELC's vast Indian clientele but also clients in the Middle-East, Japan and China. Through its branch, ELC aims to foster greater trade and cross-border flows between Europe and India.
"Ahmedabad is one of the most important commercial centers in India and we had already stated our goal of having a direct presence in this city," said Akhil Jain, director of the new office. "Opening an office in Ahmedabad just completes these original plans. Our branch would seek to integrate the business interests of the Indian corporate community. Ahmedabad provides us with the ideal strategic base to launch our international operations because of its conducive business environment, supportive regulatory framework and excellent infrastructure."
Jastin Sardhara, ELC's Business Development Manager for India, said, "ELC GROUP is on track to more than double its India staff in the next 6 months and the Ahmedabad office will contribute significantly to this growth.."
ELC's presence in India has grown substantially since April 2008, when ELC took part in Chemspec India 2008 in Mumbai.
